Finished at 12:37 a.m. July 29th, well before autumnal equinox. So, it is a summer piece or a pre-fall item? Yes!

It's cute enough, and the black knit interfacing on the neckband is the right choice. What I conceded to shaping I gained in softness. For photo purposes I pinned the top of the neckband to the back so it wouldn't droop too much on the hanger. Overall I'm pleased with it, although my initial reaction was a little underwhelming, as posted earlier. The proof, as all sewers know, is in the wearing. A day or two of test driving will tell.
