Straight skirt styling

Most sewers are brilliant multi-taskers. While two projects are in different construction stages we're mentally miles ahead of ourselves, lining up projects, considering fabric choices, switching priorities faster than you can change your mind at Cold Stone Creamery.

Three days ago it was "Sheaths for All". Today it's a few straight skirts for DD .

Inspiration:

Jumping off point:

This pattern artwork is dull and uninspired but has good bones. I agree with DD the shortest view (e) is not short enough, and needs to straighter. She further requested to wear it at the hip not waist. OK, will try that too. Tonight I'm tracing off the basic pattern, playing with lowering the waist nearly four inches. And raising the hem.

Think what I'm saving in fabric. All it requires is 8 inches.

Updates will follow. Will the cobbler ever make shoes for herself?
