Sheaths for all!

Two projects waiting in the wings are sheath dresses.

One is Vogue 8282, a sleeveless princess seam dress with back slit.


The next is Vogue 8507, a short-sleeved princess seam dress with back slit. The pattern says 'raglan' sleeves with pleats.


Both were purchased as a jumping off point for a little black dress. Being sleeveless, V8282 will be for DD while I gravitate to a more modest look.

DD chose this beautiful embroidered scalloped edge black eyelet from fabric.com. This is seriously beautiful fabric, so soft and drapey that wrinkles don't stand a chance.



My first go around with V8507 will be this wild galaxy of a print. Busy enough to hide mistakes, dressy enough for church.
